C-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för redovisning och finansieringSammanfattning : In response to the urgent need to address global warming, this study investigates the efforts of two credit rating agencies (CRAs), Aries and Orion, to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into their financial analyses amidst challenges posed by inconsistent and unstandardized data. Based on interviews with nine CRA representatives and Knorr Cetina's theory of epistemic cultures, the present study reveals the difficulties faced by the CRAs with directly linking ESG factors to credit ratings. Does it have the potential to be? An inductive approach to Reflexive Thematic Analysis (RTA) following Braun and Clarke’s six-phase methodology was used as an analytic instrument on empirical data from 13 semi-structured interviews with professionals in peace mediation, using the theoretical lens of affordances. The participants in the study were found to use LinkedIn to create and sustain meaningful connections globally and across sectors, learn from empirical knowledge, stories and insights from others and explore economic opportunities.
