1. Impact of BPA, BPF and Mixture N1 on DNA-Methylation of GRIN2B and NR3C1 during human neuroprogenitor cell differentiation
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning; Uppsala universitet/Fysiologi och miljötoxikologiSammanfattning : Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are ubiquitous and their adverse impact on nature, wildlife and humans is extensively researched. We are constantly exposed to EDCs, such as the widespread and extensively researched Bisphenol A, as well as its substitute Bisphenol F, which is coming into wider use, even though it is much less is researched and limited information is available about its endocrine effects. 2. Cre-driven reporter gene analysis of parvalbumin and vesicular glutamate transporter 2 in the mouse brain and their internal distribution within subthalamic areas
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Fysiologi och miljötoxikologi; Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildningSammanfattning : .... LÄS MER
3. Ecotoxicological effects on the coral endosymbiont Symbiodiniaceae of organic UV-filter chemicals
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildningSammanfattning : Coral bleaching causes the disappearance of unique ecosystems supporting thousands of different species. The corals health depends on its relationship with its endosymbiont, the zooxanthellate Symbiodiniaceae. This mutualistic relationship can be disrupted by anthropogenic chemical pollution by inducing physiologically stress in Symbiodiniaceae. LÄS MER
4. Analysis of epigenetic changes induced by exposure to a mixture of endocrine disrupting chemicals in the mouse brain and a hippocampus mouse cell model
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Miljötoxikologi; Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildningSammanfattning : Prenatal exposure to mixture N1, a chemical mixture consisting of four phthalate diesters, three pesticides and Bisphenol A, has been associated with behavioural changes as well as changes in gene expression in mice. In this study it was investigated whether the changes in gene expression could be explained by changes in DNA methylation. LÄS MER
5. Effects of early life exposure to flutamide on sexual development in Xenopus tropicalis
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning; Uppsala universitet/MiljötoxikologiSammanfattning : While endocrine disrupting chemicals have become a serious concern in human and environmental toxicology, many of the methods used for investigating developmental toxicity require long exposure periods, and thus can be technically challenging, labour intensive and expensive. For example, the current standard method, the Larval Amphibian Growth and Development Assay (LAGDA) has an exposure period of ³130 days. LÄS MER
