The main aim of the study is to increase the understanding of how the three basic psychological needs (autonomy, competence and relatedness) are met, how it predicts motivation (autonomic- and controlled motivation), leisure time exercise and anxiety, this due to the fact that many Swedes do not meet the recommendations for physical activity, which increases the risk of mental illness.
