  1. 6. Code smells in machine learning pipelines: an MSR sample study

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Johann Henri Tammen; [2022-12-22]
    Nyckelord :technical debt; code smells; machine learning; data science;

    Sammanfattning : As technical debt in software engineering projects continues to negatively impact the development process, this study focuses on technical debt in form of code smells in machine learning pipelines and in code written by data scientists. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on technical debt as it tries to quantify the assumption in the literature that scientists without a software engineering background struggle with software engineering’s best practices when writing code. 2. 7. Detecting Bad Smells in Industrial Requirements Written in Natural Languages

    Kandidat-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Författare :Eriksson Marie-Janette; Brouillette Emma; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Industrial Requirements; Requirement Engineering; Software Requirements Specification; Natural Language; Bad Smells; Requirements Smells; Tool Testing;

    Sammanfattning : A key factor in creating software of good quality is that the requirements for the project being developed are as unambiguous and clear as possible, so the developers will be able to develop the product quickly and effectively. So, there is a need for tools that help requirements engineers create quality requirements. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Sunscreens Imploded : An eco-cultural exploration of enskinment, protection, and vulnerability

    Sammanfattning : While Indonesia faces countless environmental challenges due to the deforestation and exploitation of nature, the terraced rice landscapes of Bali – known as subak – appear to be not only more protected, but also better preserved than the rest of the country’s greenspaces. It is therefore imperative to ponder upon the question of why this discrepancy may be and, in this case, investigate how subak visitors have been using these areas for outdoor recreational activities and thus contribute to greater environmental awareness. 5. 10. Exploring nature’s influence on the olfactory urban landscape experience : an explorative research on the influences of urban nature on the urban smellscape experience and preference and possible contributions of the olfactory perception of nature in the urban living environment on wellbeing

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Urban and Rural Development

    Författare :Roald Daniël Nooijens; [2022]
    Nyckelord :olfaction; olfactory experience; multisensory environment; experience of nature; landscape psychology; landscape experience; landscape preference; urban planning;

    Sammanfattning : Impairment of mental wellbeing in urban areas can be explained through landscape experience. Interactions with urban nature have found to positively influence wellbeing through landscape experience. However, research has focussed on the sense of vision, while humans are multisensory beings in essence. LÄS MER
