    Sammanfattning : In order to provide equal education to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Swedish upper secondary English as a foreign language (EFL) classrooms, support must be provided that adapts to their strengths and needs regarding reading comprehension. Multiple studies show that many upper secondary students with ASD in Sweden do not meet the knowledge requirements for passing grades in English, and require support in reading comprehension.     Sammanfattning : This study compares the novice teacher induction period schemes of Sweden and the federal state of Hesse in Germany and subsequently discusses the results from a sociocultural perspective. In line with this purpose, the study investigates how the two schemes are compared to each other with respect to (1) the frameworks that guide the induction, (2) the processes involved, and (3) the outcomes reported.
