Dado que la publicidad se presenta como un fenómeno de por sí íntimamente ligado a los modos de ser, estar y pensar en una sociedad, explorar cómo se emplea el tratamiento en este género sirve para arrojar luz sobre las pautas de uso en un momento dado y los cambios que se han ido produciendo en el tiempo.
