    Sammanfattning : This thesis looks into cross-cultural music-making in higher education byexploring the plausible outcomes of the teaching of three Brazilian music teachers thatcame to a Swedish university to teach Brazilian music to Swedish students in theLinnaeus-Palme exchange project between the said university and a Brazilian universityin the 2010s.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this independent project for my master’s degree is to develop an interpretative proposal for the 16 Brazilian Waltzes (16 Valsas Brasileiras) for bassoon solo composed by Francisco Mignone between 1979 and 1981. For that, I use an emic-inspired approach to really be able to understand the cultural aspects surrounding these pieces framed in the style called “Brazilian music”. LÄS MER
