    Sammanfattning : There is an increasing global anti-rights movement—the child of marriage of the right-wing populist and anti-gender movements—that affects the rights of not only women and LGBTQIs but also refugees, asylum seekers, and various minorities. Although this research only focuses on the event of Turkey’s withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention, it provides valuable perspective to understand and prevent the further spread of anti-gender and right-wing populist tactics and rhetoric.     Sammanfattning : In this project, we identified and examined the 50 coldest extreme temperature eventsin North America (CENA) and the 50 warmest extreme temperature events insouthwestern Europe (WEEU) during the winter seasons from 1948 to 2023. The aim of this study is to explore how different local actors perceive their responsibility, and possibility to affect the situation, for vulnerable EU citizens. Previous research suggests that when multiple actors are involved - both state actors and civil society, guided by different regulations - the cooperation, priorities and target group of actors becomes important.
