  1. 1. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Nyckelord :super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters. 2. 2. Waste Analysis on a Production Line - A Case Study

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Industriell Produktion

    Författare :Sanna Treptow; Déspina Karida; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Sustainable manufacturing systems; Sustainable production; Lean production; Just in Time Production JiT ; Kanban; Waste; Environmental Value Stream Mapping EVSM ; Production Performance Matrix PPM ; Key Performance Index KPI ; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This study aims to assist Swedish company Clemondo AB in reducing waste in production, where the goal is to determine where waste appears as well as make suggestions for potential improvements, which are presented as Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and minimized manufacturing costs. Citation chaining is used to retrieve extant literature, while other productions and process-related information are gathered through observations and discussions. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Breaking the Stereotypes: Exploring Control and Self-Expression of Modern-Day Freak Show Performers

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Sociologi; Lunds universitet/Sociologiska institutionen

    Författare :Dana Stepankova; [2023]
    Nyckelord :freak; freak shows; BDSM; body suspension; edgework; dark play; subculture; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Author: Dana Štěpánková Title: Breaking the Stereotypes: Exploring Control and Self-Expression of ModernDay Freak Show Performers Supervisor: Sébastien Tutenges Master’s Thesis SOCM04, Cultural Criminology, 30 credits Department of Sociology, Spring 2023 Freak shows have been historically depicted as dehumanizing spectacles exhibiting individuals with physical anomalies. Over time, these shows faded away, but human curiosity and fascination with difference and deviance have brought them back in a new form. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Cloud provider comparison with a growing business perspective

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS); KTH/Skolan för arkitektur och samhällsbyggnad (ABE)

    Författare :Leonard Lindgren; Maxim Kvasov; [2023]
    Nyckelord :AWS; Heroku; Comparison; Infrastructure as code; Cost; Availability; AWS; Heroku; Jämförelse; Prestanda; Kostnad; Tillgänglighet;

    Sammanfattning : As technology becomes increasingly embedded in our daily lives, the demand for computational power is on the rise. Sometimes, the necessary calculations can be performed within the device itself, but often, they need to be processed remotely. This is where the role of cloud providers comes into play, steadily growing to meet the demand. LÄS MER
