  1. 1. Station-level demand prediction in bike-sharing systems through machine learning and deep learning methods

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Nikolaos Staikos; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Physical Geography; Ecosystem Analysis; Bike-sharing demand; Machine learning; Deep learning; Spatial regression; Graph Convolutional Neural Network; Multiple Linear Regression; Multilayer Perceptron Regressor; Support Vector Machine; Random Forest Regressor; Urban environment; Micro-mobility; Station planning; Geomatics; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Public Bike-Sharing systems have been employed in many cities around the globe. Shared bikes are an efficient and convenient means of transportation in advanced societies. Nonetheless, station planning and local bike-sharing network effectiveness can be challenging. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Näringsförluster från sju jordbruksområden nära Mälaren

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

    Författare :Sally Karlsson Bondesson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :avrinningsområde; belastning; fosfor; kväve; S-HYPE; retention; typområden på jordbruksmark; vattenflöde; VISS; våtmark;

    Sammanfattning : Ett av Sveriges miljömål är ”ingen övergödning” vilket innebär att gödande ämnen inte ska ha negativ inverkan på människor, biologisk mångfald eller mark-och vattenanvändning (Naturvårds-verket 2023). Näringsämnena fosfor och kväve och förlusten av dessa från framför allt jordbruksmark är en av orsakerna till övergödning i sjöar, hav och vattendrag. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Life Cycle Assessment : a comparison of fossil energy use and climate impact on small scale manufacturing and large scale conventional manufacturing of textile toys

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Energy and Technology

    Författare :Malin Henriksen; [2024]
    Nyckelord :textile toy; LCA; energy use; sustainable production; China; Sri Lanka; cotton production; fossil fuel use; GWP100;

    Sammanfattning : This study conducts a Life Cycle Assessment to compare the environmental impacts, specifically climate impact and fossil fuel use, of textile toys produced in China and Sri Lanka. Through evaluating large-scale industrial production in China against small-scale, handcrafted production in Sri Lanka, it identifies the considerable environmental footprint of cotton production in both scenarios. 4. 4. An Idea of Land : Hydroelectric Dams lying in the middle of the Sámi of Sweden and Three Affiliated Tribes in the United States.

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Historiska institutionen

    Författare :Corey Klinge; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Sámi; Indigenous; Sábme; Native American; Three Affiliated Tribes; Imperialism; Hydroelectric Dams;

    Sammanfattning : In this study a comparative approach between both the Sámi of northern Sweden and the Three Affiliated Tribes of North Dakota in relation to the constructions of the Letsi Reservoir and Garrison Dams will be given. The comparison will help create an understanding of what kinds of impacts they had to a number of factors. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Sustainable Innovation for Reducing Negative Environmental Impact in the Textile Industry - A Comparative Case Study Between Sweden and Bangladesh

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Graduate School

    Författare :Nazmun Jahan Nipun; [2023-07-20]
    Nyckelord :Sustainable Innovation; Textile Industry; Positive Environmental impact; Challenges; Developed country; Developing country;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis attempts to highlight the challenges and share insights related to sustainable innovation in the textile industry, as well as the importance of collaboration and technology adoption to reduce negative environmental impact. The comparison between Bangladesh and Sweden, a developing nation and a developed nation, sheds light on the importance of design thinking, the use of technology in supply chain management, as well as the necessity of government support and customer awareness.
