Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Karlstads universitet/Handelshögskolan (from 2013)Sammanfattning : Sedan en tid tillbaka har mäns våld mot kvinnor ansetts utgöra ett samhälls- och jämställdhetsproblem och som ett led i att bekämpa och synliggöra detta våld infördes fridskränkningsbrotten i 4 kap 4 a § BrB år 1998 med syftet att kunna ta hänsyn till den situation en kvinna kan befinna sig i när hon blir utsatt för våld av en man hon har en nära relation till. För att en kvinna som utsätts för våld av en partner ska få det straffrättsliga skydd som 4 kap 4 a § BrB ger måste hon vara gift eller sambo med mannen enligt bestämmelsens andra stycke, alternativt betraktas som närstående enligt bestämmelsens första stycke. Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Fakulteten för humaniora och samhällsvetenskap (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The purpose of this essay is to show the narrator’s use of the male and the queer gaze in three short stories by Edgar Allan Poe: “Berenice: A Tale” (1835), “The Man that was Used Up: A Tale of the Late Bugaboo and Kickapoo Campaign” (1839) and ”The Man of the Crowd” (1845). Through close reading of the stories, I show how the different gazes work, how they are used in the stories and what they lead to. LÄS MER
