  1. 1. Land cover classification using machine-learning techniques applied to fused multi-modal satellite imagery and time series data

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Anastasia Sarelli; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Geography; GIS; Land Cover Classification; Landsat; Machine Learning; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Land cover classification is one of the most studied topics in the field of remote sensing, involving the use of data from satellite sensors to analyze and categorize different land surface types. There are numerous satellite products available, each offering different spatial, spectral, and temporal resolutions. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Molns inverkan på satellitdetektion av vegetationsbränder i Sverige

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Marcus Letalick; [2022]
    Nyckelord :clouds; satellite detection; VIIRS; active fires; forest fire; grass fire; FRP; NOAA-20; Suomi-NPP; JPSS; moln; satellitdetektion; VIIRS; skogsbrand; gräsbrand; vegetationsbrand; FRP; NOAA-20; Suomi-NPP; JPSS;

    Sammanfattning : Results are presented from the 2021 test run of active fire detection using the Visual Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument, that is currently onboard the polar satellites Suomi-NPP and NOAA-20. The test is performed by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency and the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, in cooperation with local fire departments in Sweden. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Development of a Level-0 Geoprocessing Platform for a Multispectral Remote Sensing Payload

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Lättkonstruktioner, marina system, flyg- och rymdteknik, rörelsemekanik

    Författare :Sergio Santiago Bernabeu Peñalba; [2022]

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presented an overview of the development of a geolocating algorithm as part of a geoprocessor for raw satellite imagery. This algorithm was devised for and limited by the specifications of a state-of-the-art multispectral telescope designed by Aistech Space, hosted onboard the Guardian spacecraft, which will observe Earth through the visible, near infrared, and thermal infrared bands of the electromagnetic spectrum. 4. 4. Exploring Diversity of Spectral Data in Cloud Detection with Machine Learning Methods : Contribution of Near Infrared band in improving cloud detection in winter images

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Nakita Sunil Oza; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Remote sensing; Multispectral imaging; Cloud detection; Data diversity; Deep learning; Fjärranalys; Multispektral bildbehandling; Molndetektion; Datadiversitet; Djupinlärning;

    Sammanfattning : Cloud detection on satellite imagery is an essential pre-processing step for several remote sensing applications. In general, machine learning based methods for cloud detection perform well, especially the ones based on deep learning as they consider both spatial and spectral features of the input image. 5. 5. Tracking Under Countermeasures Using Infrared Imagery

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Datorseende

    Författare :Sara Modorato; [2022]
    Nyckelord :computer vision; infrared imagery; tracking; countermeasures; discriminative correlation filters; Efficient Convolution Operator tracker; Spatial-Temporal Regularized Correlation Filter tracker; Visual Object Tracking; flare; DIRCM; multiple wavelength bands; features;

    Sammanfattning : Object tracking can be done in numerous ways, where the goal is to track a target through all frames in a sequence. The ground truth bounding box is used to initialize the object tracking algorithm. Object tracking can be carried out on infrared imagery suitable for military applications to execute tracking even without illumination. LÄS MER
