Inrikestransporter står för drygt en tredjedel av Sveriges totala utsläpp avväxthusgaser och vägtrafiken står för 90% av utsläppen inom inrikestransporter, där en betydandeandel av vägtrafikutsläppen är från personbilstrafik.
