However, studying French as a foreign language in Sweden includes few opportunities to encounter the language outside the classroom. The main questions were: what themes appear in the texts, how do the texts relate to the ’cultural and social purpose’ in the syllabus for the school subject modern languages, and which areas of the Spanish speaking world are represented?
