1. Insights Into Wind Profile Characteristics in the Arctic Marine Boundary Layer
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapsläraSammanfattning : The atmospheric boundary layer in the Arctic is essential for the understanding of climate change and improving regional weather prediction. The aim of this study is to investigate to which degree wind speed profiles retrieved in the Arctic agree with well known wind profile concepts and understand which local impact factors influence the wind speed profile. 2.
3. Application of Fourier Transforms to time-resolved ambient pressure spectroscopy operando studies of CO oxidation over Pt(111)
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/SynkrotronljusfysikSammanfattning : The study of heterogeneous catalysis has important implications in increasing the efficiency of industrial processes and in reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases from sources such as automobiles. A reaction with high industrial relevance is the oxidation of CO on noble metal catalysts. LÄS MER
4. Metaller i Vombsjön - Mygglarver som bioindikator för miljöövervakning
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC)Sammanfattning : This study investigates concentrations of eight metals (Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Hg, Cr, Ni, As) in the freshwater resource Lake Vomb, located in the south of Sweden (Scania), and explores the potential use of deformed Chironomidae larvae as bioindicator. Sediment samples from six locations were analysed against threshold values from the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management and background values from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. 5. Assessing water balance and yields in Malawian cropping systems : maize soybean and maize Gliricidia systems resilience against climate change
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Soil and EnvironmentSammanfattning : In Malawi, maize monocultures are increasingly susceptible to extreme weather patterns, causing considerable yield reduction and heightened food insecurity for smallholder farmers dependent on rainfed subsistence agriculture. Diversifying cropping systems is crucial for ensuring yield resilience. LÄS MER
