  1. 21. Simulation of decarbonization objectives for the district heating system in the Helsinki metropolitan area

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Yijie Su; [2021]
    Nyckelord :District heating; CO2 emission; Decarbonization goal; Helsinki metropolitan area; EnergyPRO; Fjärrvärme; CO2-utsläpp; Dekarboniseringsmål; Helsingfors storstadsområde; EnergyPRO;

    Sammanfattning : District heating (DH) is of great significance for the Nordic countries due to the high heat demand especially in the winter. In Finland, 40% of heat was generated by fossil fuels in DH system, and DH sector emits 10% of the total emissions. The Finnish government aims to achieve carbon neutrality as the national goal by 2035. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Energieffektivisering, en utvärdering : Undersökning och analys av energieffektivisering på Erikslunds förskola

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Daniel Fornstedt; Philip Hedlund; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Energy; heating; energy efficiency; investment; insulation; ventilation; pre-school; pump.; analys; energieffektiviserande åtgärder; ventilation; kallvind; LED; investeringskostnad; CO2; fukthalt; inomhusklimat; energibesparing;

    Sammanfattning : This report regards evaluating the energy and indoor climate of a pre-school located in Erikslund, Sweden which has undergone several measurers to achieve lower energy usage. The project was done on the orders of the governing municipality of Västerås and tasked to a consulting company for simulating the effects of performing these measures for lowering energy need. 3. 23. Integration impacts of low temperature sub-networks on existing district heating networks : A Swedish Case Study

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :TOM ANTLE; [2021]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : As the need to reduce CO2 emissions from the heating sector to meet climate targets grows solutions such as the electrification of heating and low temperature district heating are becoming prevalent. To achieve such emissions reductions within significantly decarbonised district heating networks, it is of increasing importance to evaluate the emissions from electricity production, including the hourly and seasonal variation inherent there. 4. 24. Multidimensional Assessment For a Case Studied Zero Energy Building : Climate positive buildings with and without a connection to the district heating network

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Daniel Rimec; [2021]
    Nyckelord :CO2-mitigation; Zero-energy building; Climate positive buildings; ETC buildings; Enviro-economic; District heating network; ground source heat pump;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this report is to get an overview of the CO2 reduction possibilities when adopting different renewable energy source, when the case studied building sustains a district heating network connection and when not, and how the renewable energy source flexibilities (Solar and Wind) differ depending on region. The method regards a ETC house that falls into the climate positive category and assesses the reduction when comparing CO2 emissions form the energy demand. LÄS MER

  5. 25. The carbon footprint caused by the oversizing of building service systems : A case study of an NHS Hospital

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Maria Hein; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Design; dimensioning; heating; cooling; boiler; chiller; pump; energy performance; environmental impact; mitigation strategy;

    Sammanfattning : Energy usage in buildings is a main contributor to CO2 emissions and in order for the EU to reach the 2050 goal of carbon-neutrality, there is a great need to improve the energy efficiency in buildings, particularly commercial buildings that often are substantially overdesigned. Excess margins in the design process of building services result in an oversizing of these systems which has great environmental impacts, divided up as the operational and embodied carbon footprints.
