  1. 1. Emission factors and methods used in climate impact assessments of energy use in Swedish heated buildings - Assessing district heating and electricity as energy source

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign

    Författare :Louise Piltz Vitanc; Matilda Hinsegård; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Life Cycle Assessment; Climate Calculation; Methodology; B6; Global Warming Potential; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : When the property- and building industry moves towards new solutions targeting reduced climate impact, this puts pressure on the building owners and companies to calculate the climate impact of buildings. It may seem easy, but there are various methods and guidelines to navigate around. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Intensifying Building Use: How the Cities of Amsterdam and Malmö Enable the Sharing of Spaces

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Internationella miljöinstitutet

    Författare :Sonja Leyvraz; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Building industry; circular economy; intensifying loops; urban governance; sharing economy.; Social Sciences; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : In the building industry, circular economy has gained much attention in recent years, yet thus far, little research has been conducted on the topic of intensified building use, despite the great potential this strategy offers in terms of emission reduction. One way of intensifying building use can be through the sharing of spaces among different users at different times. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Framställandet av en utsläppshandel baserad på näringsämnen inom det svenska jordbruket

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC)

    Författare :Mathias Nilsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Baltiska havet; Östersjön; Östersjöområdet; ETS; Emission Trade Systems; NTS; Nutrient Trade System; eutrophication; övergödning; nutrient-based; näringsämnen; ekonomiska styrmedel; styrmedel; naturvårdsverket; Havs-och vattenmyndigheten; HaV; näringsläckage; växthusgas; utsläpp; pollution; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This study examines the potential of a nutrient-based emissions trading system and focuses on its possible implementation in the Baltic Sea region to address the problem with eutrophication in the inland sea. Emissions trading has proven to be an effective method for reducing greenhouse gas emissions within the EU through the EU ETS. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Enabling a sustainable transition of a waterborne transport system : By identifying essential aspects and actors

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Julia Apelgren; Sara Kronvall; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Sustainable transition; Waterborne transport system; Transport system; Public transport system; Fossil free fuels; System theory; Passenger ferry; Commuter ferry; Electric ferry; Hållbar omställning; Vattenburet transport system; Transport system; Kollektivtrafik; Fossila bränslen; Systemteori; Passagerarfärja; Pendelbåt; Elektrisk färja;

    Sammanfattning : In light of the emerging consequences of climate change, there is a need for a sustainable transition of the marine sector, including waterborne transport systems, towards implementation of fossil free fuels and technologies. The thesis limits its scope to solely include passenger ferries that are suitable for calm waters and often operates on shorter distances, which are often incorporated in a public transport system and/or archipelago traffic. 5. 5. Carbon emission allocation of Ro-Pax ferry transport and the application for ferry companies

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Qiutong Xu; [2023]
    Nyckelord :CO2 emissions; Emission allocation; Ro-Pax ferry; Ferry transport; Passenger; Freight; CO2-utsläpp; Utsläppsfördelning; Ro-Pax-färja; Färjetransport; Passagerare; Frakt;

    Sammanfattning : The EU has set up the target of cutting GHG emissions by at least 55% by 2030 and becoming climateneutral by 2050. Accordingly, the IMO has launched initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions per transportwork by at least 40% by 2030, however the CO2 emissions generated from the ferry operations arecontinuously increasing.
