11. The Influence of Cavity Widths and Lateral Ventilation Conditions on the Fire Behaviour within a Non-Combustible Ventilated Façade System
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : Present uncertainties in key ventilation parameters, characterising the fire performance of facades, has necessitated clarification in the foundational understanding of the Fire Science Body of Knowledge. A test program conducted in collaboration between Lunds Universitet and the Kingspan Group, studied the influence of cavity widths and lateral ventilation conditions on the fire behaviour within Intermediate-scale ventilated façades following the ISO 13785-1 standards. 12. EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON PRESSURE LOSSES IN ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED AND MACHINED ORIFICES : A rectangular geometry of additively manufactured MA 247 orice and a circular geometry ofmachined AW-6082 T6 orifice study
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanisk värmeteori och strömningsläraSammanfattning : Gas turbine components for cooling purposes including other unique and complex three-dimensional designs could be made explicitly possible through additive manufacturing using SLM technology in contrary to the conventional machining processes. Nevertheless, the surface roughness and subsequently the friction factor governs thepressure drop in these components implicitly, thus, influencing the secondary air flow system of a gas turbine. 13. Fire Safety of Facades
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : Façade fires are a big concern due to past incidents and the large number of victims encountered. Vertical flame spread mechanism specific to this type of fires is a complex phenomenon with parameters that are often difficult to be coupled. LÄS MER
14. Simulation Testbed of a Combustion Engine in Simulink for Control Purposes
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaperSammanfattning : Control theory plays a big part in the development of more efficient and environ- mental friendly combustion engines. But the process of designing good controllers can be very time consuming and complex. One way to reduce the time spent on design and testing of a controller is to use simulations to get fast feedback of the controllers performance. LÄS MER
15. CFD Simulation of Urea Evaporation in STAR-CCM+
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanisk värmeteori och strömningsläraSammanfattning : Diesel engines produce large amounts of nitrogen oxides (NOX) while running. Nitrogen oxides are highly toxic and also contribute towards the formation of tropospheric ozone. LÄS MER
