  1. 16. The role of semantic context and attentional resource distribution in semantic comprehension in Swedish pre-schoolers

    Kandidat-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för lingvistik

    Författare :Johanna Renate Schelhaas; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Semantic context; attention; resource distribution; N400; dichotic listening task; preschool children; Swedish; Semantisk kontext; fördelning av hjärnresurser; uppmärksamhet; N400; diktotisk lyssningstest; svenska förskolebarn;

    Sammanfattning : Research on semantic processing focused mainly on isolated units in language, which does not reflect the complexity of language. In order to understand how semantic information is processed in a wider context, the first goal of this thesis was to determine whether Swedish pre-school children are able to comprehend semantic context and if that context is semantically built up over time. 2. 17. Speech Comprehension : Theoretical approaches and neural correlates

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskap

    Författare :Magnus Roos; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Language; speech comprehension; dual-route processing model; trace model; superior temporal gyrus; inferior frontal gyrus; N400; P600;

    Sammanfattning : This review has examined the spatial and temporal neural activation of speech comprehension. Six theories on speech comprehension were selected and reviewed. The most fundamental structures for speech comprehension are the superior temporal gyrus, the fusiform gyrus, the temporal pole, the temporoparietal junction, and the inferior frontal gyrus. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Processing filler-gap dependencies in an L2: An Event-Related Potential study

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Masterprogram: Språk och språkvetenskap

    Författare :Andrea Schremm; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Languages and Literatures;

    Sammanfattning : The present study investigated second language (L2) learners’ processing of filler-gap dependencies and tested the implications of Clahsen and Felser’s (2006) shallow structure hypothesis according to which L2 learners underuse syntactic information during the processing of these sentence types. Advanced L2 learners of English (native Swedish speakers) listened to English sentences with object-relative, subject-relative and finite complement clauses. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Det maskerande brusljudets påverkan på inlärningen av visuell information : om effekten av maskerande brusljud i öppna kontorslandskap

    Kandidat-uppsats, Avdelningen för socialt arbete och psykologi

    Författare :Maria Ceder; Camilla Hellström; [2012]
    Nyckelord :masking noise; irrelevant speech; learning ability; open-plan offices; maskerande brusljud; ovidkommande tal; inlärning; öppna kontorslanskap;

    Sammanfattning : Denna experimentella studie undersökte om maskerande brusljud på ovidkommande tal påverkar inlärning av visuell information. Experimentet genomfördes i ett laboratorium med 32 försöksdeltagare. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Gapless Relative Clauses in Japanese

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Japanska

    Författare :Natsuki Kessira; [2010]
    Nyckelord :noun-modifying clauses; gapless; relative clauses; semantic; pragmatic; Languages and Literatures;

    Sammanfattning : In Japanese, there is a unique type of relative clauses, a so-called ‘gapless relative clause’. The relation between the predicate in the relative clause and its head is not syntactic in the sense that the head noun does not have a co-indexed NP gap internal in the clause. LÄS MER
