    Sammanfattning : Democracies are argued to be imperative for the advancement of LGBTQ human rights. In the last two decades, however, the picture regarding LGBTQ rights has been extremely contradictory with countries adopting ‘LGBTQ friendly’ policies such as same-sex marriage or adoption while other democratic nation-states have constrained or not developed the rights of sexual minorities.     Sammanfattning : Trots att betydelsen och vikten av att kunskap om hbtq-frågor för psykologisk praktik och psykoterapeutiskt behandlingsarbete länge påvisats, finns det knapphändigt med forskning ur behandlarperspektiv rörande vad den kunskapen består av och hur den omsätts i psykoterapeutisk behandlingspraktik. Denna studie undersökte hur ett antal svenska behandlare med självdefinierad specifik kunskap om hbtq-personer och hbtq-personers livsvillkor beskrev sätten på vilka de meningsutfyllde denna kunskap samt hur de beskrev att denna kunskap gav återverkningar i det praktiska behandlingsarbetet.     Sammanfattning : Purpose: The present thesis aims to gain an insight into pre-school teachers’ perceptions of the relevance of using illustrated books that include representations of same-gender families/relationships and address issues of gender expression that do not follow the normative gender categories in the classroom. The thesis was conducted within the interdisciplinary field of child studies, drawing from a social constructivist viewpoint and having queer theory as a point of departure. LÄS MER
