1. Impact of fire and frost drought events on vegetation greenness and albedo in Subarctic Scandinavia
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : With climate change, the frequency in climate extremes such as drought, heavy rainfalls, and extreme temperatures is predicted to increase. These extremes can potentially stress and damage vegetation over large areas, leading to altered carbon cycle, vegetation greenness, albedo, and shifted species composition. LÄS MER
3. A Comparative LCA study on the refurbishment of quays with induced mineral deposition technology
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : A quay is a structure which is constructed along the shoreline for docking purposes. When the quay is constructed using reinforced concrete, damage over time happens under the combined action of chemical and mechanical corrosion of the varied materials. LÄS MER
4. Koldioxidreducerad betong : Med betongens egenskaper bibehållna
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Avdelningen för byggnadsteknik, energisystem och miljövetenskapSammanfattning : This study will explore if, and if so how, a transition into a more sustainable and eco-friendly ordinary portland cement can be made, without damaging its fundamental strengths and properties. The core concept essence of this degree project focuses on a comparison between four central properties of fly ash in portland cement with those of ordinary portland cement: the chloride-induced penetration, alkali reactivity, frost resistance and strength. 5. Vegetation phenology derived using the plant phenology index and the normalized difference vegetation index for the Balkan peninsula, south-eastern Europe
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : This study analyses the performance of the satellite derived Plant Phenology Index (PPI) against the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) for estimating start of season (SOS) and end of season (EOS) of vegetation growth in part of the Balkan Peninsula, Southeastern Europe (2000 – 2016). Results revealed that PPI and NDVI differ considerably; SOS and EOS may diverge by more than one month between the two indices. LÄS MER
