    Sammanfattning : Forskning visar att asylprocessen begränsar asylsökandes livsvillkor och påverkar deras psykiska mående, med bland annat självmordstankar och självskadebeteende som följd. De långa väntetiderna inom asylutredningarna har refererats till en form av våld och vittnesmål pekar på att asylmottagandet inte lever upp till förväntningen om en rättssäker och human asylprocess, med nya skärpta asyllagar som förväntas dras åt ännu hårdare.
