    Sammanfattning : This paper investigates whether the increase in electoral success of populist extreme parties has an impact on short-term equity market returns and volatility by looking at a sample of 192 European elections. Using a cross-national regression methodology, we find that a large change in the share of seats in the national parliament held by populist extreme parties has a negative impact on national equity market returns.     Sammanfattning : This paper investigates, using Swedish data from 1996 to 2016, the possibilities to use different investment assets to hedge against the expected and unexpected inflation rates. With the use of time series regressions, we find that treasury bills have the potential to be good hedges against the expected inflation rate, and that real estate could be a good hedge against the unexpected inflation rate.
