The aim of this thesis is to study and describe the confessional culture as displayed by the missionaries Bartholomäus Ziegenbalg (1682-1719) and Ernst Gründler (1677-1720) during the establishing years of the Pietist Danish-Halle Mission in the Danish colony of Tranquebar in south-east India.     Sammanfattning : In this essay the use of pronouns in educational textbooks teaching Swedish languagehistory, intended for compulsory school (grade 7–9) is examined, the purpose beingto investigate the aspect of interculturality in the texts. The questions asked are:What interpersonal meaning is mediated in the texts, and in what way is thismeaning compatible with an intercultural approach?
