   Sammanfattning : This essay examines the documentary “Tranståget och Tonårsflickorna”, produced as part of the series Uppdrag granskning, a Swedish television program focused on investigative journalism. This study makes use of a critical discourse methodology with a Foucauldian and feminist starting point, adapted to audiovisual materials with inspiration from Gillian Rose´s methodological discussions.    Sammanfattning : This bachelor thesis studies a specific recurring trend from the 1990’s, which in this case is exemplified as dungarees, or as more commonly used, overalls. To understand the essence of this trend and why it’s recurring, a semiotic analysis is applied to the study and to understand the qualitative values it houses, such as social practices and structures, as well as signs, codes and symbolism, will be used to concretize the correlation between the actual trend, it’s exposure to society during the 1990’s versus today and also, how and why it's still consumed to this day.
