  1. 11. A process to assess fossil-free transport transition pathways and develop a sustainability roadmap for transport purchasers

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Internationella miljöinstitutet

    Författare :Lauren Brach; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Roadmap; corporate carbon strategy; decarbonisation; transportation; fossil-free; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Most (93%) of the greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector come from road traffic in Sweden which includes passenger and freight transport activity (Trafikverket, 2022). The aim of this thesis was to understand pathways that transport purchasers can pursue to reach the fossil-free transportation goals from manufacturing plant to customer and to develop a process for assessing a market and developing a roadmap for achieving fossil-free transportation. 2. 12. Assessment of the energetic feasibility of a novel CHP biorefinery concept

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaper

    Författare :Ângelo Miguel Mendes Ferreira; [2023]
    Nyckelord :biorefinery; bioenergy; biomimicry; combined heat and power; Earth Power Lodge; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigates the potential for energetic self-reliance in an integrated biore- finery, the Earth Power Lodge (EPL), which aims to convert waste into valuable by- products through bio- and thermochemical conversion processes. The primary questions addressed include assessing the necessity of external propane to sustain the pyrolysis process and the net energy output of the ThermoChemical Reactor (TCR) process when fractional distillation is applied to the resulting bio-oils. 3. 13. Fuel Transition for Gas Turbines : In a Changing European Energy Landscape

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för tillämpad fysik och elektronik

    Författare :Lovisa Langerak; [2023]
    Nyckelord :energy technology; gas turbine; energy transition; Europe; green fuels; hydrogen; ammonia; biofuels; energiteknik; gasturbin; energiomställning; Europa; gröna bränslen; vätgas; ammoniak; biobränslen;

    Sammanfattning : The transition to renewable energy sources is vital to mitigate global warming and achieve the climate targets set by the EU. The availability of natural gas in Europe is challenged due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, leading to a shift towards fossil-free alternatives. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiency of various renewable energy pathways in the truck industry : An LCA and energy efficiency analysis on fuel production for and manufacturing of 40 tonne heavy trucks in Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för tema; Linköpings universitet/Filosofiska fakulteten

    Författare :Jacob Axell; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Hydrogen; Sweden; 40-tonne haulage truck; LCA; Wind energy; Bio fuel; Energy efficiency; CO2 emissions;

    Sammanfattning : This study focuses on assessing the greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiency of 40-tonne haulage trucks in fuel production and manufacturing in a Swedish context. The aim was to provide accurate greenhouse gas accounting and evaluate the contribution to mitigating climate change. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Analysis of Microgrid Electrification on Phaluai Island : A Minor Field Study in Thailand

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Leontina Walldén; Caroline Wahlberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Microgrid; Rural electrification; Rural islands; Thailand; Renewable energy; Microgrid; Elektrifiering av landsbygd; Isolerade öar; Thailand; Förnybar energi;

    Sammanfattning : Similar to numerous other nations, Thailand aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and increasing the amount of renewable energy sources in electricity generation. The objective of the Thai Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) is to ensure electricity access for all Thai households and villages. LÄS MER
