By participating in the Belly2Belly ritual, providing analytical reflections and a detailed account from an auto-reflexive perspective, I attempt in this thesis to show, through the Belly2Belly ritual, how participants progress from a state of ill-being into a state of well-being, a form of evolution of well-being. This, it can be argued, takes form when the ritual participants are provided with the opportunity to engage with their unconscious habitus and autonomous physiological reactions through embodiment of intimacy. 3. A shortcut to success or a detour out of habit?
C-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för redovisning och finansieringSammanfattning : This paper explores the professional experiences of junior analysts at nine different investment banks in Stockholm to study the causes of overwork within the investment banking sector. Through the use of a qualitative research method where ten junior analysts were interviewed, we discover that implicit rules embedded in the environment of the investment banks inform the perception of overwork as a short-term sacrifice operating as an effective tool in achieving long-term professional and financial success.
