    Sammanfattning : This essay examines how a disease discourse of homosexuality became the dominant discourse that pushed the debate on the decriminalization of homosexuality in Sweden forward. The essay shows that arguments for homosexuals’ right to personal freedom and subjective happiness, constituted a kind of rift in the discourse during the 1930’s debate. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : For non-binary people the law is not securing trans-specific healthcare in Finland. The current regulation is built on understanding of gender as binary and according to the Act on Legal Recognition of the Gender of Transsexuals (563/2002) a person can be confirmed to belong to the “opposite gender” if she/he fulfils the preconditions.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to conduct a discourse analysis on Texas’ and Mexico’s abortion policies from September 2021 by applying Bacchi’s ‘What’s the problem represented to be?’ method, together with a theoretical framework based in reproductive governance and SRHR. The research questions are: what is the problem of abortion represented to be in these policies, and to what extent the discourses presented in said policies align with the views on abortion communicated by the Catholic Church.
