    Sammanfattning : This essay explores male intimacy in popular culture, specifically focusing on how the visual representation of male intimacy in The Blaze's music video Virile can be interpreted in relation to male friendship within patriarchal norms of masculinity in music videos through a western perspective. The method used was semiotic film analysis and theories of body language and representation to analyze the material, which was divided into stages based on dramaturgy. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : I denna fallstudie har vi undersökt hur en krigsfilm kan använda sig av olika gestaltningar och representationer av “vi och dem” och därför riskerar att sprida propaganda och därigenom även potentiellt påverka dagordningen genom att påverka den rådande diskursen. Vi valde filmen American Sniper som empiriskt material då den är baserad på verkliga händelser och att vi därför kan se huruvida detta påverkar möjligheten att använda spelfilm för att potentiellt påverka diskursen.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to study the self-images built on the social media Instagram by the re-elected Mayor Ko Wen-je and the second place Ting Shou-chung in 2018 Taipei mayoral election. Through conducting a qualitative content analysis as the research method and applying Goffman’s dramaturgy theory as the theoretical framework to analyse every Ko and Ting’s Instagram posting in the duration of the 6 months before the 2018 Taipei mayoral election, this thesis probes into Ko and Ting’s performance on the front-stage Instagram. My project circles around the possibility of connecting physics and theatre in order to understand the basic nature of what theatre is and perhaps to expand the idea of what theatre might be.
