  1. 1. The Use of Mobile Assisted Language Learning for Vocabulary Acquisition in the English Classroom

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Malmö universitet/Institutionen för barndom, utbildning och samhälle (BUS)

    Författare :Line Holmberg Svensson; Emma Sinclaire; [2022]
    Nyckelord :vocabulary acquisition; vocabulary learning; MALL; m-learning; English as Second Language; upper secondary school;

    Sammanfattning : The increased need for digital education in upper secondary schools of Sweden during the COVID-19 outbreak showcased that there is a lack of professional knowledge in regards to what tools to use in order to vary the experience for the students in a virtual teaching environment. In this paper, we investigate whether Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) could assist English vocabulary acquisition of Swedish upper secondary students and what their attitudes are towards it. 2. 2. The Impact of Social Distancing on Evacuations using Crowd Simulations

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Emrik Hydén; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Crowd; evacuation; simulation; social distance; COVID19; Folkmassa; evakuering; simulering; social distansering; COVID19;

    Sammanfattning : During pandemics such as the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID19), some government agencies might recommend that citizens keep distance to other people when moving in public environments; this distance is often referred to as social distancing. Since social distancing limits how people are allowed to move in an environment, it could prove to become an obstacle during situations such as evacuations. LÄS MER

    Nyckelord :Crowd simulations; evacuation simulations; exits; exit layout; diminishing returns; Simulering av folkmassor; simulering av evakueringar; utgångar; utgångslayout; avtagande avkastning;

    Sammanfattning : A commonly researched problem in computer science considers the different parameters of an evacuation simulation and how they affect evacuation times. Parameters like room size, obstacles and exit layouts have proven to have an impact on evacuation times. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Teachers' Lived Experiences of the Virtual Learning Environment: A Phenomenological Inquiry
