    Sammanfattning : Up to 15-20 percent of all diagnosed pregnancies in Sweden end in miscarriage but despite the significant number of miscarriages, research shows that it is still a stigmatized experience that is rarely a discussed topic in Western culture. The aim of this study is to deepen the understanding of women’s experiences of miscarriage and how their emotions are met from the people around them such as family and friends but also institutions that provide healthcare. Syftet med denna uppsats var därför att undersöka om en högre förekomst av riskfaktorer bland de med låg socioekonomisk status förklarar varför de har ett sämre utfall än de med hög socioekonomisk status.
