    Sammanfattning : Hedersrelaterat våld och förtryck som fenomen väckte en ökad uppmärksamhet i Sverige i början på 2000-talet, där de hedersmord som då skedde efterföljdes av en medial debatt som väckte starka känslor i vad som över en längre tid kunde uppfattas som ett nationellt trauma. Som ett förhållandevis nytt samhällsfenomen för Sverige innebär hedersvåld att socialtjänsten och andra huvudmän har berörts av problematiken angående dels hur hedersvåld och förtryck definieras, men också hur insatser ska utformas, var de ska riktas och hur arbetet ska utformas i att nå familjerna och de utsatta angående angränsande problem som kan leda till att vålds utövandet väljs bort, oavsett grunder i kulturella, religiösa eller tenderande kollektivistiska värderingar.
