  1. 1. Modeling and Simulation of a Planar Unmanned Aerial Manipulator

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Brynja Þorsteinsdóttir; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Unmanned Aerial Manipulator; Cable Driven Parallel Manipulator; Unmanned Aerial Vehicle; Dynamics; Simulation; Obemannad Flygande Manipulator; Kabeldriven Parallellmanipulator; Obemannad Flygande Farkost; Dynamik; Simulering.;

    Sammanfattning : A unique Unmanned Aerial Manipulator (UAM), also termed an aerial robot, is the subject of this thesis. A UAM is composed of a floating base attached to a manipulator that enables it to interact physically with the environment. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Design av fysiskt användargränssnitt till ett luftburet skördarverktyg

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Uppsala universitet/Industriell teknik

    Författare :Mohamed Mohamud; Kasper Olsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :drönare; skördaraggregat; användargränssnitt; ergonomi; inmatning; konceptgenerering;

    Sammanfattning : Forest thinning involves the removal of some trees to benefit the other trees in the forest. When forestsare thinned, heavy machines are used that drive through the forest and affect the forest negatively. The company Airforestry is developing a new system that offers the possibility of thinning from the air using an electric drone. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Study and optimization of a hexacopter's composite structure

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Lättkonstruktioner, marina system, flyg- och rymdteknik, rörelsemekanik

    Författare :Helena Delmotte; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Lightweight structure; Drone; Structural optimization; FEA; Lättviktsstruktur; Drönare; Strukturell optimering; FEA;

    Sammanfattning : Nowadays, the forestry industry still uses heavy machinery damaging both the forest and the soil. The start-up AirForestry is currently developing a sustainable way to thin and harvest trees. With their 6.2m wide electric drone carrying a harvesting tool, they can reach, thin, cut and carry trees without the need for access roads. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Through the Blur with Deep Learning : A Comparative Study Assessing Robustness in Visual Odometry Techniques

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen för systemteknik

    Författare :Alexander Berglund; [2023]
    Nyckelord :artificial intelligence; AI; machine learning; ML; deep learning; DL; computer vision; neural networks; NN; convolutional neural networks; CNN; visual odometry; VO; robustness; motion blur; AirForestry; localization; navigation; ego-motion; pose estimation; SLAM; DF-VO; DytanVO; ORB-SLAM3; artificiell intelligens; maskininlärning; datorseende;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the robustness of deep learning techniques in the field of visual odometry is investigated, with a specific focus on the impact of motion blur. A comparative study is conducted, evaluating the performance of state-of-the-art deep convolutional neural network methods, namely DF-VO and DytanVO, against ORB-SLAM3, a well-established non-deep-learning technique for visual simultaneous localization and mapping. 5. 5. Hanging Load Mock-Up For Experimental Setup To Test Flight System Stability

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Signaler och system

    Författare :Anthony Gundstedt; [2023]
    Nyckelord :drone; hanging; variable length; mixer matrix; PID; controller; microcontroller; RC; Telnet; I2C; FrSKY; Sbus; S.bus; Forestry; AirForestry; Swing; anti-swing; IMU; filter;

    Sammanfattning : Can we reduce disturbance, swing, and errors by delegating some of the tasks to a subsystem on the tool hanging from a drone to gain precision and dependability? This project covers developing and implementing a user-controlled prototype with an automatic control system and gripper for functionality and controlled movement in 5 DOF. AirForestry is developing a new way of working in the forestry business to provide a greener and healthier solution for the soil and the environment. LÄS MER
